Baby animals.

Here's a good conversation starter.  Are baby animals cute because they're actually cute, or are they cute because we're cognizant of their adult counterparts?  For instance, baby elephants:  freaking cute, right?  But what if baby elephants were the size of full-grown adult elephants, and adult elephants were the size of blue whales?  If, for instance, your lab was born at 100lbs, and grew to the size of a Tiger, would that make your baby lab any less cute than 15lb baby labs?  I think it's a question that is at least due some attention, considering all the baby animals in the world.
